NATALIE & STEPHANIE
Stephanie & Natalie, the owners & founders of BLOK Design Group, have over two decades of combined experience in the commercial & residential design industry. Both women hold B.F.A’s in Interior Design, and have worked for notable firms in New York City, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Discover Our Process

Programming is the beginning of the design process, where we learn about you, your organization, your needs, and must haves. Through our initial consultation, we will determine the scope of work for your project. For existing spaces, we will conduct site visits to document the conditions and take measurements. We gather as much information as we can to gear up for the good stuff.

Our team works diligently to develop preliminary design solutions. We prepare conceptual mood boards, preliminary space plans, and initial ideas for fixtures and finishes. We will then present all of our ideas to you. Once you give us your approval, we’ll get into all the details.

During the design development phase, we’ll create a 3D model to give you an interactive design experience. We’ll finalize all selections of furniture, finishes and materials. We’ll prepare estimated budgets and timelines. Then our favorite part, present you the final design solutions. We love working with others- we’ll communicate with all trades and parties involved to ensure the project runs smoothly.

Our team will work closely with the appointed architect, general contractor, installers, and other consultants. We’ll prepare the design documents for permitting, and for the entire team to reference. We clearly list the responsibilities of the designer and contractor. This will ensure all interior finishes are in order for purchasing and installation. While all of this is happening, we are diligently working towards the administrative phase.

We’ll manage the tedious process of procurement for all items to ensure that we remain on budget and stay on schedule. We’ll gather all information needed for procurement- preparing purchase orders, and negotiating fees on materials and finishes. We track orders and make changes as necessary to efficiently complete each project.

Our team will conduct site visits to ensure everything is being done to the design’s intent, and the project is staying on schedule. In this final phase, we will create any punch list of items that need to be addressed. And finally, the post occupancy evaluation. We want you to be absolutely satisfied, and as happy as we are with the result.
